The Alps: A Developing Portfolio

From the Himalayas to Europe.

We are extending our ground-based approach into selected Alpine regions, applying the same attention to terrain, infrastructure, seasonality, and retreat suitability.

A European Counterpart

The Alps offer a distinct rhythm:

  • Shorter access times.

  • Clean infrastructure.

  • Diverse mountain culture.

  • Four-season variability.

Our intention is to offer European mountain and nature experiences that complement — rather than imitate — our Himalayan work.

THE ALPS

Alpine Reconnaissance

Extending our ground-based model into the Alpine regions of Switzerland, France, and neighbouring countries.

Why The Alps

While our operational roots are in Nepal, our base is now in Geneva. From here, we are carefully developing a parallel model within the Alpine regions of Switzerland and neighbouring countries, often across the French border, where pricing and logistics are more viable.

The Alps are a natural extension of our work: dramatic landscapes, strong seasonal rhythm, and proximity to international teachers.

Our criteria remain consistent: immersion in nature, relative seclusion, realistic logistics, appropriate accommodation standards, and clear pacing across the year.

Current Phase & Direction

We are currently in a reconnaissance phase,  walking routes, assessing valleys, studying seasonal windows, and evaluating accommodation standards to determine which regions are structurally suited to future teacher-led journeys.

In the Alps, journeys will lean more retreat-based than expedition-based. Rather than extended multi-day trekking, they will be anchored in a stable location with structured practice, guided mountain immersion, and thematic depth.

As in Nepal, every location must support steadiness, coherence, and intelligent design.

The Prana Vista Presence

What travels with us is not geography, but presence. As in Nepal, journeys in the Alps will be co-facilitated on the ground.

Karnesh’s steady, attentive presence remains central — reading group dynamics, maintaining rhythm, and holding continuity between teacher, landscape, and participants.

Optional elements such as meditation, devotional music, or kirtan may be woven into the experience where appropriate, creating a spiritual depth that many teachers value in our Himalayan journeys.

Begin the Conversation

If you are a teacher considering a future Alpine journey, we welcome early conversations as this portfolio develops.
